What Are Same-Day Dental Implants?
Missing teeth can cause discomfort, difficulty eating, and a loss of confidence, impacting your quality of life. At Almaden Valley Smile Design, we understand the challenges of tooth loss and have helped our patients in San Jose, CA, overcome them with the permanent solution of dental implants. A dental implant is a small titanium post surgically placed into the jawbone, acting as an artificial tooth root.
This post is topped with an abutment, which connects to a custom-made prosthetic, creating a complete and natural-looking tooth replacement. Dental implants restore your smile and improve your oral health by preventing bone loss and maintaining the structure of your face. With dental implants, you can regain the function and restore the appearance of your natural teeth!

Creating the Right Solution for Your Smile Needs
Dental Implants
A single dental implant is an ideal solution for replacing one missing tooth. It involves placing one titanium post into the jawbone, then topped with a custom crown. This option preserves the health of surrounding teeth, as it doesn’t require altering adjacent teeth like traditional bridges. Your single implant will blend in seamlessly with the rest of your smile for a natural look.
Dental Bridges
When multiple teeth in a row are missing, a dental bridge supported by implants can provide a natural-looking replacement. Implant-supported bridges involve placing implants at each end of the gap, supporting a row of prosthetic teeth. This option is more secure than traditional bridges, offering improved function and aesthetics. Your implants will stabilize the surrounding teeth and underlying bone to prevent tooth loss.
Implant-Supported Dentures
Implant-support dentures provide a stable and comfortable solution for those who need to replace a full arch of teeth. These dentures are secured by dental implants, eliminating the need for adhesives and reducing the risk of slipping. This option offers the benefits of traditional with the added stability of implants. Improve your comfort and confidence with implant-supported dentures.
Full Mouth Dental Implants
Full mouth dental implants offer a comprehensive and permanent solution for those needing to replace all their teeth. This involves placing multiple implants throughout the jaw to support a complete set of custom-made teeth. Full mouth dental implants restore the function and appearance of a complete smile, allowing you to eat, speak, and smile with ease. Boost your confidence and quality of life with full mouth dental implants!
What to Expect from the Dental Implant Process
Consult & Planning
The first step in your dental implant treatment is a thorough consultation with our dentist. We will assess your oral health, discuss your smile goals, and create a personalized treatment plan. This planning stage includes digital imaging and precise measurements to ensure the perfect placement of your dental implants. Our dentist, Dr. Clara Andirious, will answer all your questions, discuss your treatment goals, and discuss the cost of dental implants.
The Procedure and Same-Day Teeth
On the day of your procedure, we will administer your chosen sedation option sedation option and follow the surgical guide we created during the consultation. We will place the titanium posts into your jawbone in predetermined spots with the most jawbone density to ensure optimal stability. Once these implants are placed, we will attach an abutment connector and place your temporary restoration using our teeth-in-a-day protocol.
The Follow-Up Appointment
A few weeks after the initial procedure, you’ll return to our office for a follow-up appointment. This visit allows Dr. Andirious to check the healing progress and ensure the implants integrate well with your jawbone. We will also make any necessary adjustments to your temporary teeth for comfort and function.
Healing & Final Restorations
The healing process takes several months, during which the implants fuse with the jawbone through osseointegration, creating a stable foundation for your new teeth. Once healing is complete, you’ll return to our practice for the final restorations, where the temporary teeth are replaced with a custom-made, permanent prosthesis. Your new smile will be fully functional, natural-looking, and designed to last. With proper at-home care and regular dental checkups, your implants have the potential to last a lifetime!
